At The Nanny Joynt, we pride ourselves on our personalized, hands-on approach to nanny and domestic staffing placements. Unlike impersonal online databases or large agencies, we’re a boutique firm that invests time and care into every match we make. Our process begins with getting to know your family personally, understanding your unique needs, values, and home dynamics. This deep understanding allows us to handpick candidates who will truly thrive in your environment. We meet every nanny face-to-face, meticulously verify their references, and conduct thorough background and driving record checks. Our high standards mean we filter out hundreds of unsuitable candidates, saving you time and ensuring your family’s safety. We’re not just placing a nanny; we’re finding a trusted addition to your household. With The Nanny Joynt, you’re getting a dedicated partner committed to providing peace of mind, one family at a time.

When you welcome a Nanny Joynt nanny into your home, you’re inviting a true childcare professional who meets our stringent standards. Our nannies are known for their positive outlook, strong work ethic, and genuine desire to become a part of your family’s culture while providing exceptional care for your children.

You can expect a Nanny Joynt nanny to be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the US, and have a minimum of 3 years professional childcare experience. They’ll have a clean driving record, their own insured vehicle, and be non-smokers. Our nannies are English-proficient, often with additional language skills, and come with verifiable, excellent references.

Most importantly, a Nanny Joynt nanny brings passion for childcare, believing in the importance of play and exploration for positive development. They’re prepared to make a one-year commitment, ensuring consistent, high-quality care for your children. With a Nanny Joynt nanny, you’re bringing in a thoroughly vetted, qualified professional who’s excited to contribute positively to your family’s life.

Our placement process usually takes anywhere from 1 – 8 weeks depending on the position details, the availability of qualified caregivers, your availability to interview, notice period and many other factors. We are constantly vetting new candidates to keep our pool of qualified professionals plentiful. There are many factors that come into play when making a placement and we feel it is most important to make sure the candidates we represent are the “right” fit for you and your family. Sometimes this takes a little extra time and patience.

If you need assistance with your children immediately we would be happy to set you up with one of our incredible temporary nannies who can relieve the pressure of feeling like you have to hire in a rush. This gives both of us the time needed to ensure we are finding you the best nanny for your family.

The Nanny Joynt does not employ any caregivers. All caregivers are employees of the families’ and will be paid directly by the family. We assist our clients in getting proper payroll set up and help to make this part of hiring a nanny easy.

According to the IRS your nanny/household employee is to be paid as a W2 employee of the household. It is not legal to pay your nanny as an independent contractor.  For more information on taxes and payroll service please visit our wonderful tax and payroll professionals at Homework Solutions

Legal payment for a nanny is often referred to as paying “on the books,” and it involves issuing proper wages and withholding appropriate taxes, which are then reported to government tax agencies. This approach is not only required by law but is beneficial for several reasons. First, it provides nannies with a verifiable income, which is essential when applying for credit, renting an apartment or obtaining a loan. Second, it ensures nannies have access to benefits such as Social Security, Medicare and Unemployment Insurance in case of job loss. Third, it protects families from fines and penalties related to tax evasion, while legitimizing their household employment for tax purposes. At The Nanny Joynt, we advocate legal payment of nannies, not only as a hallmark of professionalism, but as an assurance of financial security for both the nanny and the employing family.
