The Nanny Joynt Community
Getting Involved with Local Nannies
As a devoted nanny, you’ve grown accustomed to working with and managing your family’s routine, spending time with the kids and ensuring everyone has what they need. You’re no stranger to getting your hands dirty and you’ve come to live by the timeworn mantra, work-hard, play-hard. That being said, even the happiest of nannies can experience feelings of loneliness and isolation. With any job, it’s important to feel a sense of camaraderie and inclusion–colleagues who want to help you as you overcome difficult times, and join you when you’re at your best. No one better understands the challenges of the industry than your fellow nanny. Investing your time in building a healthy and helpful nanny community is a great way for nannies to work together in a nurturing, open environment. It’s also a great way to make new friends and have some fun!
Here are a few ways you can get involved with your local nanny community:
WEEKLY PLAY DATES
When it comes to having fun, why not include your work family? Take the initiative and arrange weekly or bi-weekly play dates with other nannies and their charges. This will give you the chance to interact with professionals in your community, while allowing your kiddos to make some new friends.
Don’t miss our upcoming Pumpkin Patch Play Date at Macdonald’s Ranch on Wednesday, October 26 at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $10 per person. Children under 2 years of age are free!
SOCIAL MEDIA
Have you checked out The Nanny Joynt’s Facebook or Insagram page? It’s a great way to stay connected, interact with other nannies and learn about upcoming events, job, and industry news! Interested in setting up a play date? Free feel to post to our timeline to get the ball rolling!
