Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is happy to be partnering with this amazingly sweet and kind family seeking an experienced, mature, nurturing, and safety-conscious individual who will partner with them in caring for their infant babies who are 3 months old and 1 month old.  Mom is a single parent and both babies were delivered via surrogacy. This family would love for their new nanny to be experienced working with infants and twins. They are working closely with a Nanny Joynt Newborn Care Specialist so their nanny should be open to following her lead when it comes to keeping a schedule in place for the babies. Their family consists of Mom who works from home and her parents. Both Grandparents are very involved in the care of the babies so their new nanny should be skilled at working as a team. They are looking for a caregiver who can become part of their family long-term (3-10 years) as their babies grow. They are excellent communicators and listeners and would want to promote this with any potential candidate. All candidates need to have verifiable and recent experience working with infants. Someone who will actively engage with them each day, and most importantly provide a safe and loving environment for them to thrive in. Their ideal nanny will be educated, calm, loving, nurturing, and invested in the care of their children. Their new nanny should be very reliable, and adaptable and be able to offer them gentle guidance and support as their babies grow. Nannies, this is a wonderful family to work with. They currently employ a Nanny Joynt Household Manager and an NCS who both rave about how amazing this family is to work with. 

This family appreciates a nanny who will be loving but will also have boundaries and structure. Their nanny should understand they do not want the children to have screen time and do want the children to be outside each day when the weather permits. A nanny who will follow the schedule that has been put in place is required. You should be someone who will allow the babies to explore, letting them discover their independence, yet keeping them safe. A nanny who loves to read to them, and will introduce them to music, art, and creative activities is ideal. The family values the book Good Inside by Dr. Becky Kennedy and wants their nanny to also read this book so she has a good understanding of how they want the children to be raised. 

Some travel and overnight care will be needed in the future. 

This position is offering $28 – $32 per hour with paid vacation, paid sick days, paid holidays, and guaranteed hours!!! Use of family car.

The schedule for this position will be:

• Monday through Friday 9:00am until 5:00pm
• 5 days each week, family is flexible on the days, if you are interested in a different schedule please let me know when applying. 
• Opportunities to work additional hours if the nanny would like to pick up additional weekend shifts

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:

• Feeding, diapering, and facilitating a healthy sleep/nap schedule
• Working with NCS to keep babies on a great schedule 
• Making sure the babies meet and exceed developmental milestones
• Playing/reading, singing, swimming with the children, teaching new skills going for walks, and planning activities once the children are older. They live in a wonderful neighborhood so walks and being outside are highly encouraged. 
• Emptying diaper pail and removing trash each day
• Taking to activities, dr appts, music class, swim lessons, etc. Use of family car.
• Maintaining a log of daily activities, feedings, and naps
• Maintaining the children’s areas and ensuring baby items are stocked and organized
• Children’s laundry and linens as needed

Household Related Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up after self and children
• Load/unload dishwasher, wiping counters
• Taking out the trash when needed
• Emptying diaper pails daily
• Help with family laundry/linens for the children if needed
• Making sure all areas are organized/tidy as needed
• Washing all bottles, sanitizing children’s items as needed
• Organizational tasks pertaining to the children
• Errands and other household tasks as time allows
• The family does have a household manager and housekeeper for deep cleaning

Requirements:

• • COVID-19 – Family does not require Covid Vaccine
  • Recent infant/twin experience is required
  • Experienced, mature, reliable, calm, nurturing, flexible, engaging, and active with the children
  • Great communication skills
  • You should be proactive and intuitive at all times
  • Safety is a TOP priority 

• The family does have a pool and will require their nanny to swim with the children.

Considerations: 

• No screen time while caring for the children
• Travel and Overnights will be needed
• Length of commitment – VERY LONG TERM 3-10 years!
• Pets: The family does have one dog, some pet care will be needed: Feeding, watering, letting in and out and taking the dog on walks. 

We can’t say enough amazing things about this family! They have read many parenting books and love the philosophies of (Good Inside, Bringing Up Bebe, Hunt Gather Parent, Balanced and Barefoot, and There’s No Such Thing As Bad Weather.) They want their nanny to be someone who allows the children to have autonomy with clear boundaries while also learning and having fun.  They want the children to explore their world and eat what the adults eat (with minor modifications). They would love for the children to play outside and experience nature, arts and crafts, and really good healthy food. Mom is taking a year off from her job and they want a nanny who will become part of their family! They are kind, and giving and will offer you stability and a wonderful work environment. They are excited to start the interview process!
