Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is excited to introduce this wonderful family in far North Scottsdale seeking a dedicated and experienced nanny to join them on a long-term basis. They are looking for a responsible, vigilant, and creative individual with strong experience working with infants and toddlers.

Your role will involve starting the day by getting their 2-year-old daughter ready for the day and preparing her breakfast. The day will include playtime, encouraging independent play, and engaging her in fun and creative activities. The family also welcomes help with light household tasks such as organizing meals and snacks, picking up toys, unloading the dishwasher, and handling laundry duties.

This growing family is expecting a new baby in December 2024, and they are seeking a nanny who will not only care for their 2-year-old daughter but also grow with them as they transition to a family of four. You must have recent verifiable infant care experience to apply for this position. The family’s small, sweet terrier mix, Penny, is also part of the household, so comfort with pets is essential.

Hourly Rate: $28 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits: Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Childcare Duties:
    • Assist with the morning routine for the 2-year-old, including getting her out of bed, dressing, and breakfast preparation.
    • Engage in playtime, encourage independent play, and support developmental milestones.
    • Plan and execute fun, creative, and active daily activities.
    • Prepare meals and snacks for the children and clean up afterward.

 

  • Household Duties:
    • Light housekeeping tasks, including picking up toys, unloading the dishwasher, and washing/folding laundry.
    • Keep the house tidy and organized.

 

  • Additional Support:
    • Provide extra hands to help the family during this phase of pregnancy and the transition to caring for a newborn.
    • Occasionally care for their daughter, to allow the parents some couple time before the arrival of the new baby.
    • Take on additional responsibilities as the family grows.

Considerations:

  • Travel and Overnights: May be requested by the family so their new nanny should be flexible and available as needed. 1-2 trips per year.
