For me the most important thing is having a connection and feeling comfortable with the family I will be nannying for.

Tell us your story about why/how you became a nanny? 

I was working at a preschool and loved it so much that I wanted to focus on one family that I could build a growing bond with.

Favorite thing about being a nanny?

My favorite part about being a nanny is getting to share special moments from milestones to when kids are exploring or just having a genuine good time and getting to see them be happy and laugh is the best.

Name 3 things on your bucket list. 

3 things on my bucket list are 1. Some day travel to an exotic paradise, 2. Live in a house with my own clawfoot tub and 3. See the migration of the monarch butterfly in Michoacán, Mexico.

My advice to someone wanting to become a nanny would be make sure you have plenty of patience and aren’t afraid to get silly.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from nannying is you don’t have to be blood related to be family.
