Overview:
The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to assist a lovely family in Phoenix seeking an educated, reliable, and caring nanny for their two delightful children: a 3.5-year-old daughter and a 1.5-year-old son. This family is searching for someone who values education and enjoys fostering a nurturing, engaging, and fun environment where their children can thrive.

Mom and Dad hold demanding professional positions, and punctuality is required. They hope to find a nanny who is flexible, proactive, and eager to help their children grow and develop while forming a strong, long-term bond with the family.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday 9am-2pm (5 hours), Tuesday 7am-5pm (10 hours), Wednesday 7am-5pm (10 hours), Thursday 7am-5pm (10 hours), Friday 9am-2pm (5 hours). Long days will flex on some weeks, you will have a 2 week notice ahead of time for those changes. 
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed – some weeks there may be over time. 
• Hourly Rate: $28-$32 per hour DOE

Responsibilities:

Childcare:

• Provide nurturing care and supervision for their 3.5-year-old daughter and 1.5-year-old son.
• Plan and engage in educational and creative activities to encourage learning and development.
• Planning outings to fun local locations: Zoo, parks, aquarium, etc. 
• Minimize screen time and encourage outdoor play, reading, and imaginative activities.
• Support the children’s routines, including preparing healthy meals and snacks.
• Assist with children’s laundry and linens.

Home and Family Support:

• Tidy and organize shared spaces, load and unload the dishwasher, wipe counters, and keep floors clean.
• Assist with family meal preparation.
• Run errands as needed.
• Provide support to Mom when Dad is traveling for work.

Pet Care:

• Care for the family’s 3.5-year-old yellow lab, Lucy, as needed (walking, feeding, watering).

Driving:

• Transport the children to activities or outings using your safe and reliable vehicle.

Family Values:

• Prioritize quality family time.
• Encourage healthy eating and good food choices.
• Emphasize manners and respect.
• Foster an accepting and kind environment for their children.

Additional Notes:

• This family has a pool, so a nanny comfortable in the water is preferred.
• The parents value open and honest communication and aim to maintain a collaborative relationship with their nanny.
• Limited screen time for the children is important to the family.
• Some travel or overnight care may occasionally be requested but is not required.
