The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to assist this wonderful returning family in finding an exceptional full-time nanny to join their team! This family of six is seeking someone who will truly invest in their household long-term, bringing a sense of warmth, reliability, and professionalism to their home.
About the Family:
This family includes two amazing daughters, ages 14 and 11, who are with them 50% of the time. Both girls are active, engaging, and in school full-time. The focus of this role will primarily be on their sweet 12-month-old daughter and lively 3-year-old son.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have extensive experience with children in these age groups.
- Be flexible, easy-going, and organized.
- Take initiative to manage the household and children’s needs seamlessly.
- Be warm, engaging, and a strong communicator.
- Collaborate effectively with hands-on parents, especially mom, who is actively involved with the younger children.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime.
- Lunch Break: 1-hour daily break included.
- Flexibility required for early starts or late evenings as needed.
- Travel and overnights will be required occasionally.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $28–$30 DOE
- Benefits: Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick days, and paid holidays.
Childcare Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive care for the younger children, including meal/snack prep, diapering, potty training, and managing healthy sleep/nap schedules.
- Engage children with educational activities, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and fostering developmental milestones.
- Homework assistance for the older children as needed.
- School pick-ups and transportation to activities.
- Children’s laundry, linens, and organization of their spaces.
Household Responsibilities:
- Making food for kids: pancakes, sandwiches etc.
- Cleaning and maintenance of children’s items (e.g., high chairs, car seats).
- Light household cleaning, including tidying child areas, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and taking out trash/recycling.
- Opening packages and putting the stuff away. Breaking down boxes.
- Running errands, grocery shopping, and creating grocery lists.
- Assisting with packing/unpacking for trips and occasional party setup/teardown.
- Supporting organizational projects (e.g., organizing children’s rooms, donating outgrown clothes).
Family Values:
- Deeply invested in their children’s education and growth.
- Prioritize safety, with a pool on the property.
- Emphasize positive redirection and limited screen time.
- Value excellent communication and teamwork with their nanny.
Additional Considerations:
- Pets: The family has three dogs (Westie, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Bernese Mountain Dog). Pet care (feeding, brushing, and cleaning up after them) is required, as well as dog-sitting when the family travels.
- Travel: Up to 4 weeks of travel per year.
- Commitment: Seeking a minimum one-year commitment, ideally 3–4 years.
- COVID-19: Vaccination is not required.
