 Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is so happy to be partnering with this wonderful returning family to help them find an experienced full-time nanny! This family is seeking someone who is very proactive, and intuitive and can help them manage their daily lives around their home! Mom and Dad are busy professionals who are looking for someone to be the anchor at home. Their oldest daughter is 5 and attends full-time Pre-K. She is an old soul who is very quiet and enjoys an engaging nanny who provides structure and comfort—but also plans special activities for days when school isn’t in session. Their new nanny should be able to set boundaries and be patient and kind when enforcing rules and structure. Their younger daughter is 3 years old, she is very extroverted and silly and also enjoys a nanny who creates fun activities for her while also making sure she is meeting her developmental milestones.  The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter and take initiative, while also communicating regularly. You should always arrive at work, and children’s events on time. The ability to keep track of a complex schedule and anticipate issues or needs is a must for this role. They need someone creative and good at ‘playing’ and having unstructured time that is enjoyable for the girls, while also being able to manage behavior kindly.  You should be a good role model, and organized, but also flexible to changing plans if needed.  They are seeking a candidate who is a problem solver, confident, and personable with a can-do attitude. You should also be warm, positive, creative, and enjoy working with children in these age groups. The family would love a nanny who speaks a second language, however, this is not required.  This family is very kind, a joy to work with, and really cares about the people in their lives, they want their new nanny to feel welcomed and happy!  They would love to find an active, reliable, and professional nanny who has experience in this role. You should also have professional boundaries and always use discretion and maintain confidentiality and privacy regarding the family. 

This position is offering $35-$40 DOE per hour with guaranteed hours, vacation time, sick time, paid holidays, a monthly phone stipend, and a monthly healthcare stipend! A family car is provided during working hours. 

The schedule for this position will be:

• 45-50 hours per week – with paid overtime
• Monday through Friday 7:00am until 5:00pm (50 hours) or 7:00am until 4:00pm (45 hours) 
• Their new nanny should be flexible to work additional hours and overnights as needed. Overnights may be required a few times a month.
• The family does their best to give notice before having you work extra hours or overnights, however, some notices may be as short as 48 hours. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

• All comprehensive care of the children
• Making healthy snacks and meals, including planning and grocery requests
• Creating and scheduling fun and educational activities for the girls
• Helping their children meet and exceed developmental milestones  
• Singing, dancing, playing and reading daily
• Driving to and from school and activities
• Teaching new things, crafts, games, etc. 
• Organizational projects where needed

Household Related Responsibilities:

• Daily tidying of the playroom and girls’ rooms  as needed
• Load/unload the dishwasher, wash dishes as needed
• Meal planning and preparation for the girls as needed
• Making sure all children’s areas are organized/tidy 
• General ability to see what needs to be done and complete those tasks
• Lending a hand where needed

Requirements:

• NDA is required to be signed to work with this family
• The nanny must be travel-ready, as this family travels domestically and internationally. You will need to have a current passport in hand and TSA Pre-Check is preferred (family will reimburse for this cost if you do not already have this). They usually travel every other month, around 6 times a year. Typically a few days to a week, but some trips will be up to two weeks long. You will be given full days off during those trips. They also go on cruises, so you would need to be comfortable with that as well. 

• The nanny must be a good swimmer who is willing to swim with the children. 

• You should be active, enjoy riding bikes, and being outdoors.

• COVID-19: This family REQUIRES their nanny to be vaccinated for Covid-19. The family will also require an annual flu vaccine.
