This welcoming family is seeking a caring, proactive, and experienced nanny to join their household long-term. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with infants around 4 months and preschool-aged children around age 5 and a genuine passion for childcare. The family consists of two working parents who maintain a balanced work-from-home and office schedule, with both parents typically home on Fridays. They appreciate a nanny who is intuitive, can build a close bond with their children, and easily fits into their home environment. Their preschool-aged daughter is energetic and playful and enjoys creative activities, while their infant son is happy and will require a patient and nurturing approach to help with his transition from being with his mom full-time each day. The family also has a friendly golden retriever who requires minimal care beyond letting him in and out. They believe in gentle parenting techniques that emphasize respect, open communication, and understanding. Their ideal nanny will be highly engaged, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting their children’s developmental milestones in a fun and structured way.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with flexibility for occasional extended hours)
  • Hourly Rate: $28 – $30 per hour DOE
  • Benefits: Paid vacation, paid sick days, paid holidays and guaranteed hours

Responsibilities:

  • Providing attentive and nurturing care for an infant and preschooler
  • Engaging in creative and educational activities – using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum
  • Supporting age-appropriate development milestones
  • Light housekeeping related to the children (laundry, tidying up play areas, meal prep)
  • Managing daily routines, including naps and meals
  • Letting the family dog in and out as needed
  • Maintaining open communication with parents
  • Seeing things that need to be done and jumping in to help where needed

Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of professional nanny experience, especially with infants
    • Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and gentle parenting techniques
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Must be up to date on Tdap and flu vaccinations
    • CPR & First Aid certification
    • Comfortable with a friendly family dog
    • Reliable, professional, and eager to be part of a long-term placement
