The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to represent a truly loving and warm family in Central Phoenix who is looking for an experienced, energetic, and joyful nanny to care for their darling baby boy! Their sweet little guy is around 8 months old and full of personality, energy, and curiosity — and this family is seeking a nanny who is just as engaging, active, and FUN to match. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, upbeat, and passionate about early childhood development. This is a dream job for someone who thrives with structure but is also flexible, values communication and connection, and wants to feel like a true extension of the family.

This family has had wonderful experiences with their previous nanny, who was originally their Newborn Care Specialist and quickly became an integral part of their daily lives. They are now seeking someone just as loving and enthusiastic who wants to grow with their family for years to come. If you are an experienced caregiver who loves planning activities, getting outside, being silly, cooking healthy meals, and connecting on a deeper level with the family you work with, this could be your forever job!

Schedule: 40 hours guaranteed each week

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm. Occasional flexibility requested for staying later or covering a date night. 
• Compensation: $28 per hour to start, paid on a W2
• Benefits: Paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, guaranteed hours, and travel opportunities

• Interested in building a long-term relationship and becoming part of the family, they hope to have more kids in the future and want a nanny who’s in it for the long haul
• Comfortable with a fluid schedule that may include travel and visits with extended family
• Someone they’d enjoy spending time with 

Specific Responsibilities – but not limited to:

Primary Focus:

• Keeping baby safe, engaged, and having FUN!
• If the day is crazy and only the baby is cared for, that’s a win — he is always the #1 priority 

Daily/Weekly Tasks:

• Bottle washing daily
• Cleaning toys and play areas weekly or as needed (spills, spit up, etc.)
• Occasional baby laundry (mainly if it builds up between housekeeper visits)
• Cooking for baby 3x/week (following Katie Ferraro’s “100 First Foods” plan — fun and easy!)
• Keeping nursery/play areas tidy and organized
• Brainstorming and initiating age-appropriate activities and outings – Using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum weekly
• Occasional errands or help around the house (unloading groceries, straightening up, etc.)
• Driving to classes (Gymboree, library, museum, etc) or grandma visits as needed (vehicle required, car seat will be provided) 

Bonus Skills:

• Passionate about food and child nutrition
• Loves to be out and about — trips to the zoo, art museum, music class, or even a quick grocery run
• Comfortable swimming with baby (once trust is established)
• Willingness and interest in traveling with the family
• Fluent in Spanish would be amazing, but not required

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nanny experience, ideally with infants/toddlers
• Recent experience with babies close to this age
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Clean driving record and reliable vehicle
• The ability to swim safely
• Ability to travel with the family on occasion
