Family Summary:

We are working with the most amazing family to help them find a wonderful nanny for their smart, sweet, and spunky 2-year-old daughter and their new baby who will arrive in early 2025! This warm and engaging family in North Scottsdale is conveniently located within walking distance of Kierland, they are in search of an experienced full-time nanny who is energetic, fun to be around, and ready to commit to their family in July. Their beloved nanny of nearly two years is transitioning to a teaching role at the end of July, and they are eager to welcome a new nanny into their home.

The parents are very hands-on and enjoy spending quality time with their daughter, whether it’s going on walks, reading books, doing arts and crafts, playing in the playroom or backyard, or engaging in activities such as library visits, musicology classes, park outings, and playdates. They are dedicated to their children’s growth and development, striving to provide a strong foundation for their futures. While they maintain an organized schedule, they also embrace the need for balance and flexibility. You should be a nanny who has experience working with children in these age groups and be educated on all infant care and early childhood development. You should also be knowledgeable, passionate about working with young children, kind, nurturing, and comfortable with helping out around the house as needed. Both parents will be in and out of the home during the day as they both have the ability to work from home. 

Above all, they are seeking a nanny who can grow with their children and become an integral part of their family. The family is happy to provide recommendations from their current and previous nannies.

This position offers $25-$28 per hour DOE with guaranteed hours, paid vacation,  paid sick days, and paid holidays. The family will be using a payroll service to provide a W2 and tax purposes. Use of family vehicle to transport children. 

The schedule for this position will be: 35 hours guaranteed each week

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am until 4:00pm 
  • Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am until 4:30pm 
  • Starting in March of 2025 the hours will move to 40 hours per week, hours will be Monday through Friday 8am until 4pm
  • There is some flexibility based on our daughter starting a few days a week preschool half days in August.
  • Flexibility for date nights would be a plus

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare-Related Responsibilities:   

  • All comprehensive care, feeding, changing, naps, and maintaining the children’s schedules
  • Helping their daughter meet and exceed developmental milestones  
  • Singing, dancing, and engaging with her each day
  • Playing, reading, planning activities, walks
  • Taking to and from activities – use of family car
  • Making healthy meals, and snacks
  • Planning educational activities, teaching new things, crafts
  • Organizational projects where needed

 

Household-Related Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning up after self and children
  • Tidying of the household as needed
  • Load and unload the dishwasher, taking out the trash as needed
  • Organizational projects for the children – clothes, toys, etc. 
  • Cleaning toys/sanitizing, keeping all areas neat and clean 
  • Keep play areas tidy, and keep the child’s room organized and neat 
  • Child’s laundry, light help with family laundry, linens, etc.

Requirements:

  • CPR/ First aid certified, prefer nanny to be up to date with vaccinations/boosters
  • Has reliable transportation and current driver’s license
  • Recent experience with infants and toddlers – potty training experience a plus
  • Ability to maintain a schedule and adapt as needed
  • Reliable, on time, active, attentive, responsible
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Experienced, engaging, proactive, consistent
  • Ability to take initiative and create activities
  • Maintaining health and safety at all times
  • Professional, loyal, loving, hands-on, nurturing

Considerations: 

  • COVID-19: Highly Preferred COVID and boosters 
  • Required: Flu, and TDAP vaccines 
  • Travel and overnights could be requested at times
  • Length of Commitment: 12 months to start ideally long term
  • Pets: 1 dog – 12-year-old Yorkshire Terrier (she hangs with parents most of the time)
