The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to introduce this fantastic family of three! Their son, nearly 4 years old, is an active and fun-loving little boy who enjoys playing outside and anything sports-related. The family is seeking a reliable, engaging, and creative nanny who is eager to plan activities and be active with their son every day. Experience with this age group is essential, and the ideal candidate will be a team player who enjoys working alongside parents who are in and out of the home. Their new nanny should enjoy working closely with mom and dad being around. Some days are more busy and active, but some days are slower and casual, you should be happy with a mix of both. You should feel comfortable being around other adults and children as the family does like to entertain on a regular basis. 

The family values a hands-on nanny who loves their career and thrives in a full-time role. The role also includes household management responsibilities, so organizational skills are key. This family is incredibly kind and is looking for a nanny who will become part of their family and enjoy some opportunities for travel as well.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $28 – $30 per hour DOE
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays
  • Use of Family Car

Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Flexibility is required for occasional additional hours (6 hours per week), with advance notice for schedule changes, date nights, overnights, and travel.

Responsibilities:

Childcare-Related Duties:

  • Comprehensive care, including preparing meals and snacks
  • Helping their son meet developmental milestones
  • Engaging in active, educational, and creative play
  • Planning fun outings like trips to the library, parks, zoo, and museum
  • Organizing educational activities, crafts, and teaching new skills

Household-Related Duties:

  • Cleaning up after self and child
  • Tidying kitchen, floors, and counters
  • Loading/unloading the dishwasher
  • Organizing toys, play areas, and child’s room
  • Tidying the house, making beds, and general household maintenance
  • Handling family laundry and general household chores

Considerations:

  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
  • Travel: Some travel and overnights required
  • Length of Commitment: One year to start, with the goal of a long-term relationship
  • Pet: Large friendly dog in the home; pet care and occasional pet sitting will be needed
