Adventurous and FUN Family Seeking a Long-Term LIVE-IN Nanny

Overview:
A warm and active family is seeking a kind, caring, and fun-loving nanny who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and is excited to travel. The ideal candidate is laid-back, honest, hard-working, and friendly with positive energy. This live-in role includes a private 900 sq ft casita with a bathroom, living room, kitchen, washer, and dryer. The nanny should be adaptable and flexible with their schedule and comfortable with a family that values respect, kindness, and new experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Childcare:
  • Provide nurturing care to a 4-year-old girl and a 2.5-year-old boy. Their daughter enjoys dance, music, arts and crafts, swimming, and adventure. Their son is active and playful, with a love for trucks, cars, and dinosaurs.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity. Planning fun activities and taking them on outings to parks, the zoo, and the aquarium. Using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum each week and coming up with educational activities to keep their minds active. 
  • Help with the morning routine and school drop-off. Children are in school from 9:00am to 1:15pm each day.
  • Travel with the family to destinations such as San Miguel, Utah, and Cabo, sometimes for extended stays of 4-6 weeks. This is required and you must have a passport in hand!
• Pet Care:
  • Care for the family’s Mini Golden Doodle, including feeding, walking, and letting the dog in and out as needed. Some pet sitting will also be required so you must love dogs!
• Household Duties:
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying, laundry, meal prep, and running household errands.
  • Handle errands like grocery shopping, taking the kids to activities, and potentially house-sitting or dog-sitting when needed.

Schedule:

• • Nanny will be working 5 days a week, with one weekday and one weekend day off. The schedule may be different each week.
  • Flexibility is required as the schedule may change daily. Since this is a live-in position, the family will ensure ample time off despite the varied schedule.

• Sample of what the schedule may look like:

• Monday: 7:00am until 8:30am and then 12:00pm until 7pm

• Tuesday: 12:00pm until 7:30pm 

• Wednesday: Off

• Thursday: 2:00pm until 7:30pm 

• Friday: 1:15pm until the evening 

• Saturday: Sometimes help in the morning or afternoon or off for the day 

• Sunday:  Sometimes help in the morning or afternoon or off for the day

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $32-$35 DOE
• Benefits: Paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, guaranteed hours
• Additional Perks: Use of a family car if needed, however, their preference is for you to use your own personal car to transport the children. Private 900 sq ft casita with a bathroom, living room, kitchen, washer, and dryer included.

Requirements:

• Experience and passion for working with children and pets
• Valid passport, as extensive travel is required
• Ability to work well with parents who are involved in daily activities
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to helping out around the house
