The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to assist a wonderful returning Scottsdale family in finding a dedicated and detail-oriented Household Assistant/Chef to join their home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated, organized, and proactive individual who loves cooking, keeping things tidy, and supporting a busy household.
About the Role:
This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys preparing healthy meals, maintaining a clean and organized home, and taking on household tasks with professionalism and discretion. This family values respect, kindness, and reliability, and they are seeking a candidate who can anticipate their needs and help streamline their daily lives.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: Focus on cooking meals and cleaning up after yourself.
- Tuesday: Light cleaning and laundry, breakfast, and lunch.
- Thursday: Bathroom upkeep, breakfast, and lunch.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $30-$35 per hour DOE
- Benefits: Paid sick days, paid holidays, guaranteed hours, health and dental benefits, 401k plan (after six months of employment).
Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepare a healthy breakfast and lunch for 3, with occasional dinner prep or pre-portioning (e.g., cutting vegetables).
- Quick cleaning tasks (e.g., mopping, vacuuming, restocking supplies, taking out trash).
- Organize and tidy all areas of the home, ensuring everything is clean and in its place.
- Manage dishes, empty the dishwasher, and keep the kitchen immaculate.
- Keep a running list of needed supplies and groceries, assisting with organization.
- Assist with home-related tasks and minor business tasks as directed by the family.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks consistently.
- Complete family laundry, including linens, folding, and putting items away.
- Find and suggest healthy recipes for approval; plan meals for the week or two weeks.
- Grocery shopping or online ordering (e.g., Instacart), stocking pantry, and organizing cabinets.
- Receive packages, break down boxes, and manage donations of unused items.

- Culinary Skills: A passion for cooking healthy, delicious meals with creativity and organization.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with online apps like Instacart, Google Docs, and email for effective communication.
- Organized and Intuitive: Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a tidy environment.
- Professional and Discreet: Reliable, respectful, and able to work in a 5,000 sq. ft. home.
- Personable: Warm and friendly without being overly chatty.
