This incredible family of five, soon to be six, is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and proactive professional to help manage their household and provide exceptional care for their children and home. This family is navigating an exciting time with the arrival of their newest member, who will require extra care and attention. The older children are homeschooled, so experience with teaching would be a huge plus!!!
This family has three older children, ages 10, 9, and 6, and are expecting their newest addition, a baby girl, in January 2025. Their baby will likely spend time in the NICU and may require specialized care following her arrival. Mom will be at the hospital with the baby during this time, and Dad will be traveling frequently for work, so the family needs a capable and adaptable household manager to keep their home running smoothly.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a family navigating a difficult time while creating a loving and nurturing environment for their children.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (30 hours per week) some flexibility. Date nights and occasional overnight care may be required.
- Hourly Rate: $28-$38 per hour DOE (priority given to candidates with a teaching background for homeschooling support).
- Benefits: Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time, and paid holidays.
- Term: 6 to 12 months, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
Childcare Responsibilities:
- Provide care for children ages 10, 9, 6, and the infant once born.
- Engage in educational and developmental activities, including homeschooling for the older children (preferred).
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Plan fun, creative, and educational activities to keep the children engaged.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
- Driving children to and from activities each day
- Encourage the children to participate in household chores and responsibilities.
- Care for the infant, including feeding, rocking, and providing a loving environment.
Household Management Responsibilities:
- Maintain a tidy and organized home environment.
- Perform light cleaning tasks and help with household organization.
- Assisting with family laundry and linens, including folding and putting items away.
- Assist with meal preparation for the family for lunch and dinner
- Run errands, and manage household inventory.
- Help with packing and unpacking for moves or travel.
- Coordinate schedules and activities for the children, including driving them to activities as needed.
About the Children:
- 10-year-old son: Independent, active, and fun-loving.
- 9-year-old daughter: Creative, loves crafts, and enjoys staying busy.
- 6-year-old son: Energetic, enjoys outdoor play, and loves being active with his siblings.
- Newborn daughter: Due in January 2025, likely to spend time in the NICU.
