Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is very happy to be working with this wonderful returning family of 5!  Their oldest daughter is almost 12 years old and is very happy, active, and so sweet. Their middle daughter is 10 years old and active, loves being busy, and is so sweet and funny. Their son is 8 years old and likes to engage with his caregiver and be active daily. The children are all fun to be around, enjoy doing arts and crafts, and would love their new nanny to have a good time with them. This position will require their nanny to be able to help with school homework and tutoring. Their ideal candidate will be very experienced in household duties and with children in this age group. The position will require daily light cleaning such as dishes, Swiffering floors, laundry, and keeping the kitchen and living room tidy. You should be very reliable, intuitive, active, and playful, and you should enjoy planning fun activities with the children each day, but you should also hold them accountable for their chores in the home. They would love a nanny who will bring unique activities to the table and can provide mental stimulation for their children. You will be a nanny who can maintain balance and help to teach the children manners, while also making sure they feel loved and guided each day. Mom and Dad both are very busy professionals and will be working away from home so their nanny should be able to maintain structure. You should be compassionate and loving while also being a great communicator, have good values, a positive energy, and be highly motivated. Someone with a very positive disposition is desired! They would love a nanny who is a career household manager/nanny and truly loves her job. A nanny who will be with their family long-term is ideal.  

This position is offering $28 – $32 per hour DOE with guaranteed hours and use of the family car. 

The ideal schedule for this position is:

• Monday through Friday 12:00pm until 5:00pm

• Occasional Saturday 4:30pm until 10:30pm

• Guaranteed 25 hours per week

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

• All comprehensive childcare
• Assist children with managing their chores
• Make healthy meals, snacks, and packing lunches if needed, and have the children help with cooking and cleaning up
• Engaging with them each day, being active, planning fun things for them to do, helping with keeping them on a schedule
• Being outside, driving to and from activities, and school daily pickup.
• Planning educational activities, teaching new things, arts and crafts
• Organizational projects around the home pertaining to the children
• Teaching manners, respect, and setting healthy boundaries

 Household-related responsibilities:

• Pre-travel prep (packing for kids and errands)
• Coordinate day-to-day running of personal errands (dry cleaning, coordinate cleaners, etc)
• Keep family members on schedule & school events 
• Grocery shop/Instacart
• Make easy dinners 3x a week.
• Help the children feed their pets/pet care
• Organize and help children maintain their bedrooms and closet
• Family errands, shopping (gifts and household goods)
• Children’s laundry and household linens as needed
• Family shared Google calendar
