Their almost 3-year-old daughter is vibrant, passionate, and full of energy. She thrives in an engaging environment where her creativity is encouraged through activities like coloring, painting, and playing outdoors. She needs a nanny who can keep her mind and body active throughout the day while respecting the family’s no-screens policy. The ideal nanny will be experienced in working with toddlers, particularly those around 2–3 years old. They should be organized, proactive, and compassionate, with a strong sense of professionalism and flexibility. Comfort working in a dynamic household where responsibilities can shift day-to-day is essential. You should also have the maturity and sensitivity to assist with the care of the grandparents when needed. Respect for privacy and an understanding of maintaining boundaries, particularly with medical matters, are crucial.

Both parents work in the medical field—Dad is a doctor, and Mom is home, balancing professional responsibilities and caring for her parents. With the recent diagnosis of cancer for Olivia’s grandfather, this family deeply values compassion, flexibility, and proactive support during this time. The ideal candidate will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, caring for Olivia, helping with household tasks, and assisting the grandparents when needed.

A friendly cat lives in the home, so comfort around pets is important.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 2:00pm – 6:00pm
• Flexibility to come earlier, stay later, or add additional days as needed
• Hourly Rate: $32 – $35 per hour DOE
• Benefits: Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Time, Paid Mileage, Guaranteed Hours
• Additional: Occasional date nights, travel, and overnights may be needed (with additional compensation)

Responsibilities:

Childcare Responsibilities:

• Providing attentive and nurturing care for an energetic toddler
• Creating and engaging in developmental activities, using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum
• Supporting potty training efforts
• Preparing healthy snacks and meals
• Cleaning up after meals and activities
• Supervising and engaging during outings to the park or backyard activities
• Ensuring safety at all times
• Respecting the family’s no-screen policy during childcare (no photos of their daughter) 

Household Responsibilities:

• Helping with family laundry
• Light household tidying and organization
• Meal prep and healthy cooking
• Running errands and grocery shopping
• Driving to and from appointments if needed
• Offering support with tasks related to caring for the grandparents
• Being proactive and pitching in wherever needed 

Requirements:

• • 3+ years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience with potty training and toddler development
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to openly communicate with the family
  • Highly proactive and adaptable
  • Comfortable assisting with the care of the grandparents 

• Must be up to date on flu vaccination (Covid vaccination preferred)

• CPR & First Aid certified
• Comfortable with a cat in the home
• Willingness to drive when needed
• Respectful of privacy and discretion – no photos of their daughter
• No screens (phones, iPads, etc.) during childcare hours
• Reliable, positive, and eager to be a supportive part of the family’s team
