Family Summary:

Nannies, this active and fun family is so excited to welcome a new nanny into their lives!  This family has the sweetest 7-year-old little boy! He has Down Syndrome and qualifies for habilitation and respite hours so their future nanny must go through the proper training. The family will cover the cost of training. He has physical, occupational, and speech therapy and will occasionally participate in a sports clinic.  He loves basketball, football and, he also has an affinity for music and enjoys dancing. He’s the coolest dude we know. Meeting his needs is super easy as he’s pretty laid back, funny, and a joy to be around.  Their adorable daughter is almost 6 years old and she just loves new experiences.  She also is big into music and dance parties. She hasn’t met a board game she doesn’t like.  She enjoys cooking and trying new foods that she cooks. Their newest addition to the family is 4 months old and he is probably the happiest baby we know.  Smiling is literally his favorite thing to do! This family is currently seeking to hire a part-time nanny for their precious children who can commit to being with their family long-term. They are a busy family of 5 looking for an extra set of hands to become a part of their family for the foreseeable future to help their kids continue to blossom. They need someone reliable, caring, and trustworthy. Mom and Dad work full-time and both have demanding jobs They do occasionally work from home. They are seeking a candidate who is kind, energetic, and loves to play and teach children new things. They would also love someone who is very creative and can devise creative ways to play each day. You should be willing to plan activities, crafts, and new and educational things for the children to do. A nanny who is experienced, proactive, and communicative will thrive with this family.  Their ideal nanny is someone highly experienced, professional but light-hearted, who will be very creative, can think ahead and anticipate needs, and is a self-starter. You should be safety-minded, and have experience with children in these age groups. They want to hire someone who will become part of their family, while also being mindful of their family values. They want their children to feel loved, by someone who is very invested in them and genuinely cares.  The family enjoys open communication and would love for their nanny to be a great communicator as well. This position offers $25-$27 per hour with guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid holidays, and paid sick time.

The schedule for this position will be: 28-31 hours per week

  • Tuesday 6:30am until 5:30pm (11 hours)
  • Wednesday 6:30am until 5:30pm (11 hours)
  • Thursday 11:30am until 5:30pm (6 hours)
  • Can offer additional hours for the right candidate
  • Twice a month they will need a date night/day on Friday, Saturday or Sunday — they are flexible on the day & time

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare-Related Responsibilities:   

  • All comprehensive childcare, making meals, cleaning up
  • Changing diapers, potty training when the time comes
  • Helping to maintain a sleep schedule and routine 
  • Engaging, playing, reading, planning activities, walks, being outside
  • Helping them meet and exceed all developmental milestones
  • Educational age-appropriate activities, creative play, and activities
  • Washing bottles, dishes, toys, etc. 
  • Children’s laundry, linens
  • Organizational projects

 

Household Related Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning up after self and children each day
  • Kitchen, cleaning the high chair, floors, counters
  • Load and unload the dishwasher
  • Changing crib/cleaning out diaper pail 
  • Light meal preparation
  • Help with other tasks around the house when there is time
  • Running errands as needed
  • Organizational projects as needed

  • No cell phone or electronic use around the children

Considerations:  

  • COVID-19: This family does NOT require the Covid Vaccine
  • Length of Commitment: One year to start, ideally very long term 
  • Pets: Medium size dog who is indoor/outdoor, some pet care will be needed
  • Overnights and travel may be needed on occasion in the future
