Family Summary:
This wonderful family is relocating from FL to AZ at the end of July! They are looking for someone who will be an amazing nanny to their 3 children. All of the children are under the age of three. Their oldest son is 2, their middle son is 1 and their sweet baby daughter is just 2 months old. The oldest child may be attending preschool for 2-3 days each week. They highly prefer a nanny who has professional experience & brings great energy and ideas to engage and entertain babies through their toddler years, in a way that will help them reach milestones and find joy in every day. This family is rooted in positive parenting styles and would prefer a nanny who has the same views. If you are bilingual that would be an added advantage!
Their new nanny should be a reliable loving trustworthy warm person with a lot of experience who can teach, guide, and love their children. Someone who will focus on them, and make it a fun & safe environment each day. You should be willing to teach independence, show confidence & patience, and help determine, guide & develop the children’s strengths & weaknesses both physically and emotionally. They prefer a nanny who will help teach colors, shapes, words, pretend play, crawl on the ground with them, and join in fun activities with them. You should love arts & crafts, be creative, and share a love for reading and music with the children. This is a long-term position for a career nanny who can grow with their family.
This position is offering $30-$32 per hour DOE with guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time, and paid holidays.
The schedule for this position will be: 25 to 30 hours guaranteed
- Monday through Friday 8:00am until 1:00pm (25 hours)
- Family can also offer Monday through Friday 8:00am until 2:00pm for the right candidate. (30 hours)
- They may on occasion adjust 1 hour (on the front or back end depending) based on work needs
- You should be flexible and available for occasional date nights as well
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Childcare Related Responsibilities:
- All comprehensive child care, making healthy lunches, and snacks
- Keep a daily activity log
- Maintaining organization of kitchen areas
- Potty training when children are ready
- Bath time and proper hygiene
- Helping children meet and exceed their developmental milestones
- Driving to and from activities if needed – car provided
- Cleaning up and maintaining all child-related areas
- Arts and crafts, learning activities, playing, taking walks, independent playtime
- Creating activities, teaching new things, and planning fun things to do at home
- Singing, dancing, imaginative play, and engaging with them
Household-Related Responsibilities when Time Allows:
- Cleaning up after self and children
- Kitchen, cleaning floors, counters, keeping things neat and clean
- Load and unload the dishwasher if needed
- Organizational projects as needed
- Cleaning up toys, playroom, and all areas of the home before leaving each day
- Children’s laundry, linens, bed and bath
- Household tasks should be completed during naps or downtime
- The family has a housekeeper to take care of deep cleaning
Requirements:
- Experience with children in these age groups
- Patience, kindness, respect, and gentle
- Spending one-on-one time and delighting in moments of connection with children
- Using positive interactions to correct problematic behavior
- Praising specific actions through words, instead of using rewards or bribes.
- Nanny will not use “crying it out” sleep methods
- No use of screens, phones, or tablets while caring for the children
- Use of The Nanny Joynt Curriculum each month, creating new activities daily while also focusing on teaching new skills
Considerations:
- COVID-19: This family prefers that you be vaccinated for Covid.
- Travel and overnights will be requested at times
- Pets: Cavapoo 30lb, very sweet. Some pet care will be needed, feeding, giving water, letting in and out, walking and some pet sitting as needed
