Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is so thrilled to be working with this wonderful family and their two children.  This family is seeking a part-time nanny to join their family and help out with the day-to-day care of their family!  Their 9-year-old son is very fun, loving, and sweet and like most boys, he loves being active! He asked me to make sure that his new nanny loves to play sports, basketball, soccer and all the fun things he loves to do!  Their sweet 6-year-old daughter is very kind, easygoing, and loves being creative and active. Their ideal candidate should be very reliable, compassionate with the kids, a good communicator, someone willing to follow their parenting style, and very engaging and interactive. You should be attentive, willing to come up with different activities and be creative with the children while playing with them and creating imaginative play experiences. A candidate who is intuitive, organized, proactive, positive, and high-energy would be great for this position!  Nannies being reliable and on time is very important for this family and they are so excited to start their search for a new nanny!

They are able to offer up to 25 hours to a nanny who will also help with household tasks each day. When applying please let me know if you are applying for the 15 hours per week or the 25 hours per week.

This position is offering $28-$30 per hour with guaranteed hours, paid holidays, paid vacation, and paid sick time.

The schedule for this position will be:

  • Ideally Monday through Friday from 3:00pm until 6:00pm (15 hours)
  • They can also offer 1:00pm until 6:00pm (25 hours for the right candidate willing to help with the household)
  • Some flexibility to come early or stay late on occasion
  • There is a possibility to work 40-50 hours during summer and school breaks.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

  • Full care of the children – meals, snacks, cleaning up
  • Packing school lunches
  • Homework, reading, helping to keep track of homework and school projects
  • Helping to maintain their backpacks
  • Accommodating schedules
  • Helping the children learn new things and coming up with educational activities
  • Imaginative play with the children
  • Playing/reading, teaching new skills and going for walks, planning educational activities to do at home, arts and crafts, etc.
  • Maintaining the children’s areas and ensuring all items are stocked and organized
  • Driving to activities as needed
  • Parks, outings, and activities 

 

Household Related Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning up after self and children
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Family laundry folding and putting away
  • Taking out the trash/recycling as needed
  • Keeping home tidy and organized
  • Meal preparation if needed
  • Running errands
  • Making sure all areas are organized/tidy as needed
  • Organizational tasks 
  • The family has a housekeeper who does deep cleaning

Considerations:  

  • COVID-19: This family requires a nanny who is vaccinated for Covid 19
  • Length of Commitment: 12 months to start, could be longer
  • Pets:  Hamster, no care needed. 

Nannies, this is a wonderful family with very sweet and loving children.  They practice gentle parenting and their household is relatively drama-free (as long as nobody is overly tired).  They live in a great neighborhood and are excited to welcome their new nanny into their family!
