This single mama and her sweet, happy 6-month-old baby girl are looking for a dedicated, nurturing, and reliable nanny to join their girl-power household! The family is excited to welcome someone who will partner with mom in providing attentive care and fostering a loving, developmentally appropriate environment for her daughter. Mom works from home and needs a reliable, proactive caregiver to help her balance work and family life while ensuring her daughter receives the best care possible.

Job Highlights:

• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some flexibility required for later hours). Open to 30 hours per week for the right candidate.
• Pay: $28 – $32/hour, DOE
• Benefits: Guaranteed hours, paid time off, paid vacation, and paid holidays
• Travel: Some travel may be needed with the family
• Environment: No pets in the home

About the Position:
The ideal candidate will have a calm, loving, and patient energy that aligns with the baby’s developmental needs. As a partner in care, the nanny will follow mom’s lead while also being open to learning together and offering thoughtful suggestions. A strong background in childhood development, attachment theory, and an understanding of growth versus fixed mindset research would be ideal, as the family values fostering emotional well-being and positive development in their daughter. 

Mom is a proactive communicator who values integrity, honesty, and reliability, especially since she works from home and needs uninterrupted time for professional meetings. The nanny will engage with the baby throughout the day, providing interactive play, cuddles, and support as the baby continues to grow and hit new milestones. The baby is used to contact naps and enjoys room-sharing, so a nanny comfortable with those routines is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage and focus on developmental play and interactions
• Support the baby’s emotional well-being and help her process emotions
• Respect family values and follow the mother’s lead in caregiving and parenting choices
• Create a calm, nurturing environment for the baby
• Ensure smooth communication and handoffs with mom during work-from-home hours
• Maintain a consistent and reliable schedule to support mom’s work commitments
• Assist with light household tasks related to the baby

Requirements:

• Previous experience with infants and an understanding of child development
• Calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
• Proactive communication and reliability
