Overview:
This warm and welcoming family seeks a nurturing and energetic nanny to care for their 1-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. This temporary, part-time role requires someone attentive, proactive, and adaptable. The family values kindness, empathy, and positive energy in their home. Their new nanny should be a dog lover, as this family has two dogs who are an active part of their family!
They have had Au Pairs before, and their son is very familiar with nannies—he lovingly refers to them as “Aunties.” Mom is in and out of the home, often working on house projects, and needs an extra set of hands. Dad frequently travels and will be in and out at times. The family enjoys being active, working out, and spending time outdoors. Their son loves sports, soccer, flag football, and after-school activities. Their daughter is a sweet, easygoing baby who enjoys looking at nature and birds. The family has a zoo pass and enjoys outdoor adventures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care throughout the day
- Assist with school drop-offs and activities
- Be comfortable getting in the pool with the children
- Driving to and from school, activities, and fun outings, car provided
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including outdoor walks, music classes, and playtime
- Manage light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, laundry, etc.)
- Let the family’s dogs out as needed
Schedule:
- Monday & Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Thursday: 12:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 24 hours per week guaranteed
- The family may need the nanny to come early or stay late on occasion
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $30/hour
- Benefits: Guaranteed hours
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children and energetic toddlers
- Strong communication skills and comfort in supporting a family environment
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Comfortable with dogs and willing to engage in light pet care duties
- Must be experienced, kind, easygoing, and genuinely love children
- Should have high energy and be nurturing and sweet
