About the Family: 
This loving family is seeking a compassionate and energetic temporary nanny to care for their two young boys, who are 3 and 15 months, while providing additional support around the home during a challenging time. Mom has been recently diagnosed with cancer and will be starting chemotherapy, so they need a nurturing and reliable nanny who can step in to care for the children and help maintain the household. Dad works from home but may need to travel occasionally for work, and the family also has a playful 14-year-old, 9 lb rescue poodle.

About the Children:

• Boy almost 3: A happy little boy who is catching up quickly with his speech development. He has a great appetite and a cheerful demeanor.
• Boy 15 months: A sweet, shy daddy’s boy who is also the family daredevil, always ready for a new adventure!

Both boys are on the same thyroid medication (a crushed pill in their juice each morning).

Job Highlights:

• • Ideal Schedule: Family does have some flexibility with the schedule: 
  • Monday – Friday, 8/9:00 AM – 3/4:00 PM (35 hours) Nanny should be flexible to work 40 hours per week if needed depending on the family schedule

About the Position:
The ideal candidate is kind, caring, and able to provide gentle support during this time. You’ll need to be energetic, able to keep up with two active boys, and comfortable stepping in and out as needed. This family is looking for someone who can not only care for their children but also offer support around the home, including light household tasks like preparing meals, laundry, and keeping the home organized.

Mom may be less engaged during her treatments, and the family needs someone who can offer gentle assistance while respecting her space. The nanny should enjoy teaching, reading to the children, and helping with activities. You’ll also be responsible for taking the boys to and from their activities and handling all childcare-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Care for the boys, engaging them in age-appropriate activities and supporting their development
• Assist with household tasks such as meal prep, laundry, and keeping the home organized
• Support mom as needed while she undergoes treatment
• Manage morning medication for the boys
• Take the children to and from activities
• Provide a calm, loving, and energetic environment for the boys

Requirements:

• Experience working with young children
• Kind, nurturing, and patient demeanor
• Energetic and able to keep up with two active boys
• Ability to provide household support and assist mom as needed
• Must be comfortable with pets
