This wonderful family is seeking a kind, nurturing, and experienced Night Nanny to provide overnight care for their sweet 7-month-old daughter. She is a happy and active baby who follows a good schedule during the day; however, she has recently been prescribed medication and a cranial helmet, which have disrupted her sleep patterns. The family is in need of a loving professional to assist during the nighttime so they can get some much-needed rest. This position will involve helping mom with caring for both children during the night if they wake up. Night feeding, changing, and comforting the baby as needed. You should be comfortable helping out with household tasks, washing children’s dishes, tidying up the kitchen, nursery, and other areas as needed. Mom is in need of an extra set of hands during this time and really wants to find someone who is flexible to help where needed. 

Schedule:

• 7 nights per week would be ideal, family is open to hiring two nannies to cover the full 7 nights if needed
• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (hours may be adjusted as needed)
• Initial contract: 8 weeks, with a strong possibility of extension through the end of June
  

  Compensation:

  • $30-$32 per hour DOE, paid on a W2
  • Guaranteed hours

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Nighttime feedings and settling the baby back to sleep
• Diaper changes as needed
• Sleep training will be needed again at some point, so a nanny who is familiar with these concepts would be ideal
• Keeping the nursery and other areas organized and clean
• Washing bottles, children’s dishes and handling child-related cleaning tasks
• Assisting with child laundry if time permits
• Supporting parents as needed

Requirements:

• Experience in overnight infant care and sleep routines
• Recent, verifiable references from families within the past year
• NCS certificate is not required
• Strong understanding of infant sleep patterns and soothing techniques
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and follow the family’s care preferences
• Strong ability to help where needed

Accommodations:

• Private area; Has a couch or air mattress in the playroom, which is next to the baby’s room and will be available to you each night.

Pets in the Home:

• The family has two small dogs, but no care is required for them
